Sea Sprite Beach Club

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Santa Tea. The event was exceptionally well-organized, and the entire team was attentive and welcoming. We sincerely thank everyone involved for making our visit so memorable

Even though I only spent one night here, my short experience will pull me back for a longer stay in the future. Hands down the absolute best customer service I've ever received. When I arrived early, there was no issue to leave my belongings in the office while I wondered around town, only to find them placed in my room when I checked in. Ann was wonderful & helpful with anything I needed or asked about, quick and ready to answer my questions. As was the entire staff. The bartenders recommended local restaurants within walking distance that did not disappoint. The beds are comfy & the offered amenities were exceptional. It's hard to beat a tranquil view of the ocean while it's cool breeze sails over the fire pit to kiss you on the cheek. Honestly, if you don't book here for your next visit to Hermosa Beach, then I'm not quite sure what you are doing with your life. Respectfully. I can't wait to come back!

My husband and I are locals and were so happy when Surfer Girl opened up at Sea Sprite -- it's so cute and the location is absolutely perfect. It has a stunning view, great drink list, and such nice staff. We decided to throw our wedding celebration on their roof top and it was such a wonderful evening. We planned the event with Angela and she was so helpful and nice during the whole process and made everything really easy -- and it turned out even better than I could have imagined! Jenna and Madison took care of us during the party and were so terrific, and the food was delicious. My family stayed at the Sea Sprite that weekend and they will absolutely be staying there in the future. The upgrades they've done are so nice and everyone at the hotel is accommodating and helpful. We can't wait to go back again and again (and it's great to have a go-to spot for family visitors!). Highly recommend staying here, popping in for a drink, or working with them on your next event.

A long-time favorite destination for me and my daughter. We’ve been coming here for years and LOVE the refresh. We were only in town for the day and loved just sitting on the patio for drinks to catch the sunset. Can’t wait to come back and spend the night in their updated rooms!

Beautiful place with amazing sunset views. The service was excellent. James at the reception handled all my requests — and I had quite a few this time. He was incredibly helpful and kind. Thank you!

We've been up and down the Cali coast and settled in at the Sea Sprite for a two day stay. What a great location with close proximity to the promenade. The rooms are older but very clean. Plenty of towels, hot shower, clean sheets, yoga mat, kitchenette with refrigerator. Maybe exchange "older" for "quaint" as there is some nice history throughout the place. The storms that followed us from the north hammered the place but the staff already knew what to do even if this was an uncommon storm. Check out Good Stuff for breakfast and Tiki Kai for some fun cocktails. Thank you to all of the front desk staff and especially the folks keeping the beach club secured during the storm. We will be back!

Sea Sprite exceeded all of our expectations. The location and amenities were perfect for our family. The Hula Girl restaurant was adorable. Both restaurant and hotel staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We did feel bad about tracking sand in from the beach, but the staff was on top of it. We will definitely be looking to stay here again if we are in LA

When an overnight layover at LAX turned into 3 nights because of storms on the East Coast, we decided to spend our time here instead of one of the dreary hotels near the airport. The Sea Sprite was a mixed bag for us. The positives: Very cool vibe; great location on The Strand near shops and restaurants; very nice and clean rooms; our oceanview king had a huge window looking over the courtyard to the beach and ocean; beach volleyball games were fun to watch; the front desk welcomed us warmly and thoroughly when we arrived and ordered a taxi to take us back to LAX. Minor negatives: There is no elevator, although the front desk staffer carried our (heavy) luggage up to our room. Our room had very little lighting—we couldn’t read a magazine in the evening. And the free continental breakfast consisted of bagels, croissants, cereal, yogurt, oranges and bananas, juice, coffee and tea. In other words, very little protein and what I'd expect at a Days Inn, not from a place with a high-end restaurant. The big negative: The restaurant has become wildly successful and completely taken over all public spaces including barstools and outdoor couches. So there's no public space, indoors or outdoors, for hotel guests to relax. We got coupons for free drinks when we checked in, but nowhere to sit and enjoy them. As hotel guests, we felt we were second-class citizens. To get to our room we had to walk past the restaurant hostess, then move aside dining chairs and strollers to get to the stairs to our room. We could have gotten free loaner beach chairs and towels, but we really wanted to relax those comfy couches in the courtyard. And the restaurant was booked solid and very noisy throughout our stay, although it is shut down promptly at closing time. Hermosa Beach is a terrific place to stay if you have an overnight layover at LAX. Sea Sprite? Maybe not.
